A 44 page booklet which tells the story, in text and photographs, ( at least 100) of the twenty years’ history of the Territorial Army Battalion.
Arranged in topics, the six chapters give a flavour of the day to day life of the volunteer part-time soldiers. For example chapter 3 is called ‘State occasions and ceremonials’. It begins with the presentation of Colours in 1950 by Queen Elizabeth and covers such other occasions as the Coronation in 1953 and various tattoos. There are also charts of the Colonels, COs, Quartermasters, RSMs, and Awards and Decorations.
This is a book of interest to past members of the TA and anyone with a general interest in military and social history.
